One line
Coffey Labs builds open-source infrastructure software that is built to be run, not rented.
One paragraph
Coffey Labs LLC is an Arizona company that builds, owns and maintains open-source infrastructure software: the inbuxa mail suite, ihasmail webmail, the ihasvpn WireGuard server and Cairn OBS log aggregation, plus the tools around them. Everything it makes runs on the user’s own hardware, is published in full under a copyleft license, and has no paid tier. Coffey Labs started in 2018 as LINUXexpert.org and was organized as an LLC in 2026. Learn more at coffeylabs.org.

Founder, Coffey Labs

A platform engineer and open source evangelist, he builds the infrastructure software Coffey Labs publishes and writes about systems engineering and open source at jcoffey.dev. Coffey Labs organizes as Coffey Labs LLC
The company behind inbuxa, ihasmail, ihasvpn and Cairn OBS now owns the projects it maintains. Nothing changes for the people who run them.
